As Main Street’s executive director Nathan Ward put it, “The celebrity bartenders are not professional bartenders,” so a staff bartender handles the tricky cocktails. Every cash tip goes to Main Street’s work on murals, promotion and keeping Downtown thriving.
A Weekend Built for Locals
Saturday morning starts with Thrive on the Square, Main Street’s free monthly wellness series. Sunday brings two reasons to stay close to home: Sunshine Sessions, the City of New Port Richey‘s free, all-ages music gathering in Cavalaire Square, followed by Summer in the City, an afternoon of shopping and dining built to send a little summer business to Downtown’s shops and restaurants.

Then the tribute acts take over: Woodstock 69 with two shows on Aug. 15, The Seger Experience on Aug. 22, and Completely Unchained, a Van Halen tribute, on Aug. 28.
Fourth Friday Block Party
The month closes on Friday, Aug. 28, when Grand Boulevard, Nebraska Avenue and Main Street close to cars for the Fourth Friday Block Party and Bazaar, the monthly evening market of local artisans, makers, bakers and small businesses. Catch the market, then walk to the theatre for the late show.
